Halloween, OHbama and other stuff

Dear Matthew and Ryan,

This week, Mama and Dada helped elect the 44th President of the United States, a man named Barack Obama. This is a VERY fun thing to say, and Matthew picked up on it right away, to the point where if someone asked, "Who are you voting for?" you'd answer, "OHbama." Emphasis on the O. I took you guys to the polling place, complete with Wonder Pets backpacks so you would feel official and have something to dig around in while I voted, and things went quite well overall.

Now for Halloween, which was AWESOME this year. On Thursday the 30th, the 3 of us drove down to Champaign to stay with Aunt Missy (please keep calling her Hah-Me; none of this "Ah Mee-shee" stuff) at a fancy hotel so I could address her 12 trillion wedding invitations. You guys are going to be in her wedding in just 6 short weeks. OMG. Anyway, we started at Hah-Me (sometimes also known has Heh-Me)'s house, where she has kittens. Oh yes.
Obviously this was a very, very cool thing. Because they were so CUTE!

Aunt Missy named them all after Family Guy. So the kittens' names are Peter, Stewie, Brian, Meg, and Chris. Lois is the mom.

We stayed and played for a while, until I got tired of telling you to stop doing all the bad things you were doing, and then we headed to Curtis Orchard. Awesome AWESOME place. Better apples than Kuiper's; better pumpkins than Bengston ... and it wasn't CROWDED! Ok, that could have been b/c it was the day before Halloween and also a Thursday afternoon, but still.

and now it's almost Christmas, and this has been waiting to be finished since 11/9, so off it goes into the blogosphere. Love you guys!

xoxoxo Mama
